Office of the State Attorney, 11TH Judicial Circuit Miami
Assistant State Attorney June 2024 to September 2024
I was hired as part of the training and legal division to develop policies in the aftermath of a rogue prosecutor and other political scandals. My efforts were directed at assuring the highest ethical compliance of the office through the development of written policies such as: prosecutor witness preparation policies; inadvertent disclosure of privileged information policy; and an employee social media policy. Other policies begun but not accomplished due to political backlash included a global policy on handling scientific evidence such as DNA and toolmark matching; a plea negotiation policy; a policy for dealing with cooperating witnesses; a global Brady compliance policy; and the development of a prosecutorial integrity unit. Although my sacrifice was not ultimately successful, I put forward the effort to change the legal landscape for the better. I moved to a civil litigation practice on September 4, 2024.
Things are going so well, that I am having to pinch myself -- after all the traumas of the past 2 years - I am finally in a great place. TY for all the support!

The Complaint, in paragraphs 36-39, implies that Judge Miller’s comments led directly to my termination. Had I been able to comment, I would have stated that the defamatory article in The Miami Herald was mistakenly believed by many in the legal community, and this widespread belief led to my being terminated. Judge Miller was just like so many who believed the ...
