Working on an article from my short Miami-Dade SAO tenure. Thought it was worthy of sharing. Maybe I could include it in a new edition of Ideas and Answers in Law. What do you guys think?
Update: Check out my new paper, "A Practical Policy for Florida Prosecutors on Inadvertent Disclosures of Privileged Information: What reasonable steps must be taken once a prosecutor realizes that she encounters or comes into possession of privileged communications?" here: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4964163
Update 2: Also working on a paper, "A Practical Policy for Florida Prosecutors to Ethically Prepare Witnesses for Deposition or Trial: How can a prosecutor defend themselves from accusations of witness tampering?" I am thinking this will be in Ideas & Answers in Law, 3rd Edition only. I need to do a bit more drafting to make it a chapter, as this is part of the work I was doing for the Miami-Dade SAO. This was before I got fired for nothing (actually worse, I was fired for speaking, and then being slandered behind my back by anonymous book banners). I really wanted to finish my work on the other projects, but that was cut short. I was working on a global policy on handling scientific evidence such as DNA and toolmark matching; a plea negotiation policy; a policy for dealing with cooperating witnesses; a global Brady compliance policy; and the development of a prosecutorial integrity unit. I hope they find someone to accomplish this, but it is out of my hands at this point.
Things are going so well, that I am having to pinch myself -- after all the traumas of the past 2 years - I am finally in a great place. TY for all the support!

RE: Statement on JQC Complaint against Hon. Bronwyn Miller
My name is Steven N. Gosney. I am a Florida lawyer practicing law since 1999 and a lifelong Florida resident. The Complaint against the Honorable Judge Bronwyn Miller contains allegations to which I have personal knowledge of and in which I feel obliged to respond.

The Complaint, in paragraphs 36-39, implies that Judge Miller’s comments led directly to my termination. Had I been able to comment, I would have stated that the defamatory article in The Miami Herald was mistakenly believed by many in the legal community, and this widespread belief led to my being terminated. Judge Miller was just like so many who believed the ...
